It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you....

Hello!!!

Lots to say, haven't been blogging for a while. Sorry. =)
Just returned from a trip to Indiana. It was loverly. Living on the west coast you forget how green the rest of the country is. And how narrow the streets can be.

In the news: Angelina and Brad had their baby, thats great. But what I want to talk about is how beautiful their daughter Zahara is. This child is stunning. I believe she is from Ethiopia. In the pics of her with her new sister the look on her face is enough to make you stare. She is what, 16 months?? And has an aura about her, she has a look of deep thought. You must see it, so I will show you.

What else has changed in the world? Katie Couric left the today show. Awe. I remember waking up with her all through college. It's because of her I made it to all my morning classes. She will be missed. Oldly enough, Meredith Viera is taking her spot. She is the reason I missed some of my morning classes. Back when The Veiw was watchable, I loved her. She was the 'normal' one at the table.

The Tony Awards were actually good this year. Loved all the musical performances. The Brits took home a lot of wins for plays, the musicals were evenly distributed between the Canadians and the US. =)

On the movie front, X-Men rocked!!! It's the best action movie of the summer so far. I encourage all to go see it. On video, I hesitantly recommend, 'portrait of a marrage'. It's a bio-pic of Vita Sackville-West. She is the woman Virginia Wolf based Orlando on. It's set in pre-war England and is this close to being completely out of hand. I love English period movies, the period being back when there were social rules and social order that had to be respected. I love watching their restraint in the face of all emotion. This movie throws that out the window. It had me squeaking. There is very little on screen sex, but tons of passion in this movie. All kinds of passion. The conversations are very frank, and might make you blush. I liked it. =)

There is a new birth control trend out now. A new way of taking 'the pill'. It can reduce your periods to once a season or even once a year. This kinda freaks me out. The notion of having a period once a year seems unnatural. I guess it had been studied or whatever, but still. Physicians are always saying that the study of womens bodies are far behind the studies done on men. So tinkering with any kind of blood flow, in my opinion can be dangerous. But read and judge for yourself. Birth Control Article.
